Now that VW’s MQB platform is already serving multiple cars, such as the Golf 7, everybody wants to know more about the spicier models that will be underpinned by this architecture. We are here now to talk about the next generation of the Audi TT.
The third generation of the Audi compact sports car is expected to arrive late next year and will come as a 2015 model. The main idea of the vehicle will be to recreate the sleek profile of the original TT. As for the TT Convertible, this should be launched in 2015.

The VW Group’s engine pool has grown considerably, so the 2015 Audi TT will probably offer plenty of downsized engine options.

For the US market, the vehicle’s engine line-up will include the VW Group’s new EA888 engine family. To be more precise, we’ll be talking about a turbocharged, direct-injected 2.0-liter pwoerplant. This will probably arrive in multiple states of tune, with the entry-level one offering 220 hp.

A modified version of the turbo four, which will also come with upgraded internals, will be fitted to the Audi TTS and will allow the driver to play with 300 hp.

As for the Audi TT-RS, this will receive a revamped incarnation of the current model’s 2.5-liter in-line five. The unit is expected to deliver 380 hp, which will place the car 20 hp higher than the current Audi TT-RS Plus.
