Although it might look like it, we assure you that we are not showing you a photo of the current Audi TT and passing it off as the new car. That's just how the lords of the four rings design their cars!
Since the first generation TT was launched, over 500,000 units have been sold, making this one of the most popular sportscars ever. The iconic coupe shape is thus not getting changed to ensure the loyal customer base is not affected. Like the Porsche 911, it's a case of evolution rather than revolution with the third-gen TT.
We don't yet know exactly what the TT 3 will look like, but the Shooting Brake concept Audi showed in Detroit two weeks ago has inspired a lot of people to dream up renderings. With the imminent debut expected to take place two months from now in Geneva, we though we'd show you rending that comes close to the actual car.
The head- and taillights are crucial here, key features of the new Audi design language. Like the A3 and other entry-premium cars like the A-Class, the TT will likely have more than one set of headlights, either with a normal setup, or optionally with full-LED.
