The Q3 may not be the youngest Audi around, but it’s one of the most successful SUVs in the premium segment, and the 2015 facelift left it looking quite interesting.
New engines were also added, including the latest 184 PS performance diesel, which is shared with the Golf GTD. It’s that mill that was targeted today by ABT Sportsline at their shop in Germany. The result is a somewhat modest jump in output to 210 PS.
Torque has also increased by 40 Nm (29 lb-ft) to 420 Nm (309 lb-ft). No details about the performance of the baby SUV were provided, but we know that in stock form the Q3 with this TDI 2-liter takes about 8 seconds to reach 100 km/h.
The Q3 is known for having very comfortable suspension, but ABT wanted to ensure it also handled well. So they added a new suspension system that comes with 25mm lower front springs and those that are 35mm lower at the rear. Optionally, a height adjustable system can also be installed (front axle 30 – 60 mm, rear axle 40 – 70 mm lower), ensuring that the Q3 is as low as a sportscar.
Working with the already eye-catching S line package, ABT installed a front spoiler, mirror caps, door strip attachments, and a rear spoiler. These trim pieces can be painted in the same color as the body or to match the silver grille of the car.
Our favorite bit is the fact that they’ve managed to integrate four exhaust pipes, something Audi has not seen fit to do.
The makeover would not be complete without fresh wheel choices from the Bavarian tuners, available in different designs and with sizes up to 21 inches. It’s relatively small, but the Q3 now looks like a true premium sports SUV.
