As many other automobile companies, Acura arrived at the Detroit Auto Show set on making an impact. So, they brought forth the sizzling red TLX prototype and we have to say that the vehicle screamed luxury and refinement.
Acura’s prototype is quite the looker, being presented  at the Detroit Auto Show as the “red carpet athlete.” Looking at it, one can see that this particular car is not all about the looks as the guys from Acura gave it their all to design a performant vehicle.

So, besides its chiseled physic that comes with aerodynamic side skirts, a prominent grille flanked by Jewel Eye LED headlights, the TLX also comes with quite a lot of power under the hood. It will be available with two different engines: a 3.5-liter V6 with cylinder deactivation which is paired to a nine-speed automatic and a a 2.4-liter four-cylinder that is connected to an eight-speed dual clutch transmission.

FWD cars will benefit from Acura's Precision All-Wheel Steer (P-AWS) system, while the 3.5-liter V6 can be had with the company's Super-Handling All Wheel Drive.

Besides this, the company promises that when the TLX will finally be released, it will come with numerous safety systems like Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow, Lane Keeping Assist System and even Collision Mitigation Braking. Wait, this isn’t all as the car will have an Integrated Dynamics System with four different modes plus other gadgets and performance options.

Of course, this is just the tip of the iceberg as Acura promises with this prototype, a car that redefines the concept of a sports-sedan, making it available in “ a more refined, sophisticated and technologically-enhanced package.”
