2014 Yoshimura Suzuki GSX-R1000 Limited Available in 45-Unit Run

And now, for something completely different: welcome the Yoshimura Suzuki 2014 GSX-R1000 Limited, a spectacular new presence in the motorcycling world, and by all means, one truly glorious piece of Gixxer art. While we’re no strangers from Suzuki Special Edition bikes, the Yoshimura-signed ones have always been over-the-top machines, loaded with tons of unique goodies and proudly displaying their awesome, sleek exclusivist nature.

It’s no surprise to see that Yoshimura has chosen the GSX-R1000 as the building base for its limited edition bike. Not only do Yoshimura and Suzuki go back a long time and share a glorious racing past, but it’s the very heritage of the liter-class Gixxer which continues to inspire generations of riders to come.

With more than 1 million GSX-R1000 bikes sold around the world, Suzuki now raises the bar even more, with an ultra-limited run of only 45 bikes, available through several select US dealers. The bike is more luxurious than pretty much anything we’ve seen so far, and it’s even greater to see that it does not come with unnecessarily ostentatious bling. While functionality seems to be the keyword which describes the add-ons best, the stylish, highly-aesthetical nature of this limited edition trim is really jaw-dropping.

The 2014 Yoshimura Suzuki GSX-R1000 Limited comes in a black livery with gold accents, and is equipped with a custom-edition R-77 carbon slip-on exhaust, with a special laser-cut badge. A wide variety of aircraft-grade aluminium CNC parts is also present on the bike. The lucky 45 owners will get engine case savers, chassis protectors, axle adjuster stops, race stand stoppers, bar ends and a steering stem nut, all in gold anodized metal.

However, there’s more to the 2014 Yoshimura Suzuki GSX-R1000 Limited, including a matching engine plug kit and an oil filler plug, an Yoshimura stenciled radiator, a genuine Suzuki solo seat cowl, gold-pinstriped wheels and a custom micro fiber motorcycle cover made in Italy especially for this bike. An individually numbered Limited Edition name badge is also provided, alongside a fender eliminator kit which is unfortunately, not street-legal.

As far as the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) and CARB (California Air Resources Board) compliance is concerned, customers can rest assured: the 2014 Yoshimura Suzuki GSX-R1000 Limited, with all the modifications it received over the base model of the motorcycle remains compliant with vehicle registration requirements and is street-legal in California.

Finally, it looks like each of the 45 customers will also receive a personalized trophy in the shape of a carbon fiber end cap with their name on it. Unfortunately there’s no price announced, but we guess paying a visit to your nearest Suzuki/Yoshimura dealer will shed some light on this matter.

We'll be back with a high-res photo gallery soon.
