Come to the dark side, we have… the all-new Yamaha MT-09 Street Tracker. As of the new three-cylinder MT-09 (FZ-09 in the US) was not already a killer presence in the current line-up of House Iwata, two more versions of the big-bore naked machine have been revealed… so far. The first was the Street Rally machine introduced by no other than the 9-time World Champion Valentino Rossi, and now it’s time for the MT-09 Street Tracker to shine in the spot light.
The new Yamaha MT-09 Street Tracker brings in revised bodywork elements and a strong urban scrambler look with wider foot pegs and multiple parts which set it apart from the stock trim. The tank shrouds have been redesigned and got meaner lines, with new-retro knee pads for excellent grip and ease of control, while the carbon fiber fenders and aluminium stays add to the overall blackened attire. The shorty front one also makes everything feel even lighter and more nimble, adding a dash of hooligan styling to the MT-09 Street Tracker.

The frame was painted matte black, with matte bronze used for the rims for a nifty contrast with the aluminium number plates on the sides and fly screen. Add in the billet handlebar tensioner and other minor details for a sizzling hot package.

On the tech side the the Yamaha MT-09 Street Tracker retains the crossplane 3-cylinder liquid-cooled 847cc engine which delivers 115 horsies at 10,000 rpm and 87.5 Nm (64.5 lb-ft) at 8,500 rpm, mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.

The aluminium frame and swingarm roll with 17” wheels and have dual 298mm and 245mm front and rear rotors, respectively. There was no official weight mentioned in Yamaha’s release, but for prices starting at €8,690 ($11,770) it will surely be a blast, especially with premium Genuine Yamaha Accessories available separately, including an Akrapovic silencer. Not really sure it will cross the pond into the North American markets, though.
