Italian high-performance exhausts manufacturer Arrow announces new upgrades for one of the most anticipated bikes of the year: the Yamaha MT-07 (marketed as FZ-07 in the US). Arrow shelves two exhaust types, the X-Kone and the Street Thunder, with the latter available in no less than six flavors to match the styling preferences of more riders.
The X-Kone Carbon Cap carries on the classic Arrow conical design, with a NiChrome finish, with a satin look matching the carbon fiber end cap, and can receive a removable dB kille noise insert for better noise control. One of the coolest things about the X-Kone exhaust is that riders will not be forced to made any modifications to their bikes’ ECUs, nor add an additional fuel management module. However, CO2 levels may be affected and a quick check for homologation compliance is recommended.

This can weighs in at only 2.2 kg (4.85 lb) and provides a noticeable mass reduction over the stock silencer. At the same time, since it must be installed with the dedicated stainless steel headers, the power and torque response is significantly improved, as well.

Arrow’s Street Thunder is derived from the core design of silencers designed for off-road use, hence the compact shape and low profile. As the Yamaha MT-07 is a middleweight naked beast, it was only natural that an exhaust for it should comply with the same outlines. Arrow’s dedicated Street Thunder maintains the sporty looks and diminutive dimensions, but it keeps both noise and heat at bay, thanks to smart engineering and top-drawer materials research.

The steel capped Street Thunder is available in aluminium and dark aluminium finishes, while the Carbon Cap version can be bought with titanium or carbon sleeves, plus the aforementioned two aluminium options. A homologated catalytic converter is also available.
