On November 22nd, the Los Angeles Auto Show will open its doors and with that Mercedes will pull the curtains off the new S65 AMG, the flagship sedan that will dominate bedroom walls.
Just like the SL65 AMG and G65 AMG, these cars are well out of your reach if your name isn't Dolce and Gabbana or Karl Lagerfeld, and even then you might have to do a bit of tax evasion to afford it.
The recently revealed S63 AMG is already a monster, reaching 100 km/h in just 4 seconds when fitted with all wheel drive. But the V12 monster will top even that, offering around 630 hp and more than a 1,000 Nm of torque.
This video we received from TouriClips shows how Mercedes engineers are honing the uber-AMG, at the same time working on their new S600 "normal" sedan as well.
Rumors suggesting Mercedes' V12 will be downsized from 6 liters to 5.5 have emerged, but they're likely to prove false. The S65 is just months away from being ready and the S600 will follow after it, suggesting there's nothing that special about what's under the bonnet.
