Triumph took the wraps off one of their 2014 roadsters, namely the Speed Triple R. While on the tech side, the new Speed Triple R remained unchanged, Triumph added some cosmetic tweaks to the new model year machine.
The most important change to the bike is the ABS, which is now standard equipment as opposed to the 2013 model, for which it was an option, available for extra bucks. The 1,050cc triple-cylinder power plant delivers 133 HP and 111 Nm (82 ft-lbs) of torque, just like the non-R version.

However, the differences from the base model consists of radial monoblock Brembo calipers and high-performance Öhlins suspensions for both fork and the rear end, all offered as standard.

While the rear subframe painted in bright red quickly became a design tag for Triumph's sport bikes, the 2014 Speed Triple R is offered with Gloss Diablo Red radiator covers, too. The belly pan, mini windscreen and tail are color-matched.

The new Speed Triple R will be available in Crystal White and Phantom Black, for a base price of $16,240 (€11,980).
