2014 Toyota Verso UK Specs Released

Apart from the visual and equipment enhancements, the 2014 Toyota Verso compact MPV is the first Toyota model to be fitted with the new 1.6-liter D-4D diesel engine from BMW.

Adding to the lineup, the D-4D engine will provide 110 hp and 270 Nm of torque and can be had with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a CVT. The other two options are a 1.6 and 1.8 Valvematic gasoline units. The new Verso will be available in four trim levels as the automaker added the Trend version to the range.

The standard Verso Active is the only one to be had only with five seats, the rest of the grades coming standard with seats for seven. Other standard features include air conditioning, electric front windows, 4-speaker audio system with USB and Aux connectivity, electric heated door mirrors, fog lamps and Vehicle Stability Control.

Moving one step further and the Icon adds 16-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone climate control, Toyota Touch 2 6-speaker audio system, Bluetooth connectivity, rear-view camera, electric rear windows, cruise control and rear privacy glass.

The new Trend grade builds on the Icon adding 17-inch alloy wheels, black C-pillar, Toyota Touch 2 with Go Satellite navigation, Connected services, Google Street View and TomTom real traffic monitoring.

Top grade Excel comes with HID headlamps, Smart Entry and Start. automatic wipers and headlights, auto-dimming rearview mirror and leather seat bolsters.

The new Toyota Verso will be available to order from 1 February 2014, with customer deliveries starting in March. Prices will be announced in the New Year.
