2014 Toyota Highlander Reviewed by Left Lane News

Left Lane News is comparing the CUV segment with a Swiss Army Knife as they were designed to handle multiple situations with ease. And the new Toyota Highlander seems to be one of the sharpest tool when it comes to tackling both road and off-road conditions.

Under its bold reshaped body, the new Highlander can be had with three powertrains - a 184 hp2.7-liter four-cylinder, a 270 3.5 V6 and a gasoline-electric hybrid, out of which the V6 is the better suited for moving the crossover around. The hybrid comes only in the top grade Limited version and makes 280 hp and returns 27/28/28 mpg city/highway/combined.

The interior is more family-friendly, featuring large storage compartments, the Entune infotainment system, quality materials as well as the new Driver Easy Speak, which uses a microphone to boost the driver’s voice through the speakers for the naughty kids in the third row seats.
