Family vans are starting to dissolve on the market as more and more shoppers prefer to combine passenger space with the sleeker shapes of crossover SUVs. And the 2014 Toyota Highlander is one of them.
Kelley Blue Book recently took the new Highlander on a spin to see how it changed. Right from the start, you’ll see that the Toyota moved away from its conservative lines and enhanced the SUV’s design both inside and out.
The exterior received a testosterone treatment and has now developed bolder shapes, especially at the front where it received new frowned headlamps, redesigned trapezoidal grille and different bumper.
Stepping inside, you’ll see that the car now comes with an almost Lexus-like feel and three rows of seats and simplified access to the rear ones by the means of foldable mid-row console and sliding captain chairs. The space on the last row might be a bit crammed for tall adults, but your young siblings will find it perfect to ignore you the whole trip while playing Balls Crush Saga on their phones. And if you want to tell them something the Highlander now comes with a driver’s voice booster, amplifying whatever you need to tell them through the rear speakers.
