The 2014 Toyota Corolla is still not the sort of car that gets you noticed, but it is a good compact and will probably always be in the top 2 of its class, right up there with the Honda Civic.
Powering the Corolla S is a 1.8-liter 4-cylinder. It makes a 132 horsepower and 128 lb-ft of torque. With the Eco model you get slightly more, which is kind of remarkable.

Transmissions on the new Corolla include a 6-speed manual and a CVT. The 4-speed auto everybody loves to hate is not gone, but since it's only fitted to the base model, nobody outside rental firms will ever own one.

You can really tell that they've done their homework with the cabin, even though people coming form more expensive cars will see the stitched plastic dash as being a fake, as is the faux leather.

If you're looking at the 2014, you're probably trying to decide between it and the Honda Civic. Lots of people are in that spot and while the the Civic is a great car, its 5-speed gearboxes are letting it down.

A 20-minute walkaround review from Saabkyle04 will tell you basically everything you need to know about the Corolla S Premium. His videos have been getting plenty of views on Youtube and should save you a few trip to your local Toyota dealer because they are so detailed. The Corolla S Premium is definitely the sort of model you want to take to a fight against the Honda, with its trim levels being superior to what you'd expect for the money.
