The 2014 Toyota Corolla is still offered in the S trim, which should be the sportiest one in the range. But is that so?

What the Corolla S comes with? Well, it has a unique front bumper, an integrated rear spoiler, fog lights, chrome exhaust tip, leather steering wheel and a Sport button.

The powertrain is still the same 1.8-liter 4-cylinder engine making 132 hp and 128 lb-ft of torque, but it’s mated to a new CVT. So is that Sport button gonna do any difference?

TFL Car did some 0-60 mph tests with the Corolla S and the Sport button kinda works, almost. However, don’t forget that the car has been built to be fuel efficient, reliable and comfortable. So don’t judge it too hard. Moreover, the test took place at one mile about the sea level, so air there is a bit less dense.
