UMW Toyota Motor has officially unveiled the 2014 Toyota Corolla Altis sedan for the local market, coming with more style, improved comfort and fuel economy.
Visualy, the Corolla Altis is the same as the European version, retaining all its stylish lines, increased wheelbase and shortened overhangs. However, the Malaysian Altis comes with slightly restyled front and rear bumpers as well as new side skirts, which makes the car just a bit more sporty.
Power comes from either a 1.8-liter 139 hp/173 Nm or a 2-liter 145 hp/187 Nm engine, all mated to a CVT that can also emulate seven gears. Standard features include front and rear foglights, three-spoke leather wrapped steering wheel with audio controls, leather wrapped gearshift lever, front/rear parking sensors and automatic air conditioning.
The Corolla Altis is offered in in three grades and five colors to chose from, with prices starting at RM114,000.
