Subaru has announced that three of its vehicles for the 2014 model year have received the highest safety rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).
The three models that have been awarded with the Top Safety Pick+ award for “superior front crash prevention” are the Legacy sedan, the Outback crossover and Forester crossover SUV. Subaru says that all three were fitted with the optional “EyeSight” technology, which helped the cars avoid collisions in front crash prevention tests at 12 mph and 25 mph.

Additionally, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety awarded the 2014 Impreza (except the WRX version) and the XV Crosstrek with the Top Safety Pick rating. More details on Subaru’s recent achievements are available in the official press release below.
