The 2014 SRT Viper Time Attack (TA) Special Edition package will cost about $116,000, a Chrysler spokesman told Edmunds earlier this week.
Although the official figure will be announced “by the end of the month”, the Time Attack Special Edition package is likely to add $12,000 to the base SRT Viper’s starting price, which is set at $103,990, including a $1,995 destination fee and $2,600 gas guzzler tax.
As a reminder, the SRT Viper TA is powered by the same 8.4-liter V10 engine as the standard model, but is significantly faster thanks to its reduced weight. Racing upgrades added to the TA include Bilstein Damptronic dampers, new anti-roll bars or carbon components, carbon fiber rear spoiler, and a two-piece front splitter. Only 33 examples will be built.
In other Viper related news, the 2014 SRT Viper will become available with two new color options - Billet Silver, GTS-R Blue - and a standard Rain Mode, a system that acts on traction and stability control on wet or cold roads.
