Chrysler's SRT division is definitely keeping itself busy with supercar-rivaling ambitions, mixed with a little bit of leather, traction control and track packs. There can be little doubt that the SRT Viper is an awesome car that can do everything its creators envisioned, but for the ultimate driver experience, nothing's better than a convertible.
The old Viper ragtops were quite deadly. Lack of electronic nannies and a chassis designed primarily to be strong, not safe meant the car would kill you if you rolled. However, the snake has become altogether more refined and so we're actually looking forward to the launch of the 2014 SRT Viper Roadster.

SRT boss Ralph Gilles has already gone on record with a statement about this car, saying the chassis is already stiff enough to become a convertible. Our sources tell us the prototypes are in late stages of development and the Viper Roadster will be ready round the end of the year or maybe a little bit sooner. For now, let's enjoy this rendering from X-Tomi Design and dream of what the car will be like.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
