Last month, SRT launched a competition in which car enthusiasts were asked to help the Chrysler-owned brand name a new exterior color for the 2014 Viper. Today, SRT announced that the contest has reached its final stage and that the sportscar’s new color will be called “Competition Blue”.
The competition gathered more than 11,000 entries, with only three finalists being chosen for the final online voting process - “Competition Blue”, “Overtaking Blue” and “Viral Blue”. The winning name was submitted by Patryk Skarzynski from Chicago, who will be rewarded with a trip to the 2014 Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona to experience the race weekend with the Viper Design team.
“Competition Blue” is not the only new color available for the 2014 Viper, as SRT also introduced the “Billet Silver” and the “GTS-R Blue”. A matte black finish is also available to customers who order the Anodized Carbon Special Edition package for the Viper GTS.
