Shelby American has announced plans to showcase their brand new 2014 Shelby GT/SC during the 40th Annual Mid-America Ford Shelby Nationals in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Unveiled at the 2013 Los Auto Show in November, the GT/SC, the range-topping version of the 2014 GT lineup, is powered by a supercharged V8 mill that generates 624 horsepower and pushes the musclecar from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 3.7 seconds. Additionally, the vehicle can run the quarter mile in mid-elevens.

The Shelby GT/SC package starts at $27,995 - the price doesn’t include the base 2014 Ford Mustang GT - and can be personalized with an array of styling and performance options from Shelby Performance.

Alongside the GT/CS, Shelby will also display the recently-unveiled 50th Anniversary FIA Cobra roadster, the 850-hp GT500 Super Snake and the Shelby Raptor muscle truck.

“Tulsa’s Mid-America is one of the most important enthusiast events of the year. Ford Motor Company and Shelby American unveiled the first generation Shelby GT convertible there in 2008 and now we’re returning with the ‘reborn’ version of that car. This event is the perfect opportunity to put our ultra-performance vehicles through their paces on the road circuit at Hallett and the Tulsa drag strip, then demonstrate how docile they are on the Thursday night downtown cruise in,” said Joe Conway, CEO of Shelby American.

The 40th Annual Mid-America Ford Shelby Nationals are scheduled to kick off on June 11 and will last until June 15.
