About a month ago, the Spanish patient came out of its long coma and showed the world it had a pulse. 265 and 280 PS versions of the brand new SEAT Leon Cupra came out, a car that's been hotly anticipated for the past couple of years. Power levels were impressive, but the really cool thing is you can now chose between two body types: hatch and coupe.
However, if our spyshots are anything to go by, there's a third and final versional of the Leon Cupra coming this year, the ST wagon/touring. Its launch is imminent and we think this could be the final piece needed for the creation of a new market: hothatch estates.

Can you even imagine a car with over 1000 liters of cargo capacity that also prints from 0 to 100 km/h in under 7 seconds, if not 6? The most amazing model in the Cupra range is the Leon Cupra 280 with DSG. It's the fastest production car SEAT has ever put together, capable of going 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.7 seconds. Can you imagine an estate doing that?

That's a bit of a trick question, because Ford has already imagined one, the 250 hp Ford Focus ST. Of course, ST Cupra will be even faster. When it comes out, no dog or large family is safe from petrolhead dad!

I think the ST Cupra will look basically exactly like these renderings. There aren't going to be any hardcore wide wings, no diffusers and skirts. It looks almost normal, like a family car, which is actually a good thing because customers for these hot hatches aren't teenagers.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
