The latest generation of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class is pretty much the car to beat in the luxury segment. Daimler AG thinks so, but they're not alone in having this opinion.
With ground-breaking technologies like the Magic Body Control or the Distronic Plus with Steering Assist, the model introduces what we'll probably see on lesser cars in at least a decade from now.

Both aforementioned systems rely on a stereo camera which technically “sees” in 3d in front of the vehicle, apart from a host of other sensors which take notice of pretty much everything going on outside and make the car act accordingly.

Edmund's editors seemed to be the most impressed by the S-Class' interior though, having also tested the first class package for the rear seats, which brings Maybach levels of comfort for the passengers. The seats, for example, now even include a hot stones massage function, apart from being either cooled or heated or even both for the undecided.
