When it comes to the latest Roush-enhanced Ford Mustang, the Stage 3 is the greatest musclecar you can buy for the 2014 model year. We already know it comes with 575 HP and 505 lb-ft of torque, which means the rear wheels need to be wrapped in some serious, durable rubber.
To make sure all that power is appropriately delivered to the asphalt, Roush and Cooper Tires co-develop the Cooper Zeon RS3-S high-performance street tires, which were put to good work in a harsh, rubber-shredding test. The session included a burnout that lasted for no less than one minute and ten seconds, and while Roush says the results were deemed inconclusive, the video is still worth watching.
As a reminder, the 2014 Roush Mustang can be had with both V6 (RS) and V8 (Stage 1 to 3) engines. Pricing for the V8 starts at $4,500 for the Stage 1, while the range-topping Stage 3 is available from $17,000 and can fetch more than $30,000.
