French carmaker Renault revealed the facelifted Megane range in September this year, at the Frankfurt Motor Show. At the same time, they announced they officially launch the models in early 2014, but in Britain, one of the Megane's biggest markets, pricing and specs have already been announced.
The 2014 Megane facelift is available as a hatchback, estate and coupe, in both normal and GT lines, plus that oh-so-sexy RS hot hatch. Prices for the hatch start at £16,745, from £17,645 in the case of the coupe and £17,745 for the Sport Tourer.
Prices have dropped basically across the model range. Both the dCi 110 and dCi 130 models are cheaper by about £1,2000, while 1.2 TCe 115 is cheaper by £275.
The engine range is similar to the one the Megane had before, but there are a few exceptions. For example, the 1.5 dCi 110 PS is now available with an EDC automatic six-speed.
Cosmetic changes are limited to the front end, where Renault has dropped a much bigger badge in the center of a V-shaped grille and changes to the front bumper.
