The 2014 Ram 2500 heavy duty pickup truck has received a four-star safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
The Crew Cab model tested by the agency earned the maximum five-star rating in the side crash and side pole tests, and four-star marks in the frontal crash and rollover tests. The NHTSA also concluded that the truck has a 15.5 percent risk of rollover.
The 2014 Ram 2500 is available in seven trim levels, with the base Tradesman model starting at $29,840 and the range-topping Laramie Limited version fetching at least $51,515.
The heavy duty truck is available with a choice of three engines - 5.7 Hemi V8, 6.4 Hemi V8 and 6.7 Cummins Diesel - that deliver a max towing capability of 17,970 pounds and a maximum payload of 3,970 pounds.
