If you go to Germany, every Porsche Cayenne or Panamera you see will be either black or silver. These fine folks don't like their Stuttgart machines standing out too much, but that doesn't mean Porsche doesn't know how to grab your attention.
Besides the standard colors, both models are available in a few special ones, including the very bright Carmine Red, GT Silver and Cognac Metallic. But our favorite has to be this, the so called Amethyst Metallic.
This very deep shade of metallic purple is steeped in history, but the cars it's sitting on right now is brand new. We're talking about the new Panamera Turbo, a 530 hp facelift four-door coupe.
Amethyst is of course a quartz gen that has this shade of purple. It's rare, just like the car you're looking at, and it's beautiful. The shade is quite polarizing, so it's either going to make you go "OMG" or "what the fudge?".
Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s.
