Despite this, the increase in performance and price has brought the Turbo, especially the S, closer to exotics like the McLaren 12C. Before, you would only buy a 911 Turbo if you specifically sought the Porsche spirit, but now they’ve made it so good we’re expecting to see some customer thefts.
It’s not all perfect though. Porsche has worked hard to boost the 911 Turbo’s personality and they’ve succeeded, but only up to a point.
One of the most important changes comes from the soundtrack department. There’s a sound symposer, a mechanical unit, which brings sweet flat six intake tunes inside the cabin. Still, the sound of the turbo pressure being released as you come off the gas remains our favorite.
