Even though the 997 generation offered the wind in your hair experience, the true Targa version has been dead for decades… that is until a few month from now, when the 991 Targa comes out.
Porsche didn't actually invent the Targa top, but even to this day, every time you mention the name people will think of a 911.

A test prototype sporting has been spotted wearing that famous removable top once more. It is undergoing track testing at the Nurburgring Nordschleife in order to ensure the transition into production will go smoothly.

We believe the Targa top will be available from the basic Carrera all the way to the 4S right from launch. This one though is a an Carrera S mode, judging from the quad tailpipe exhaust system.

The Taga has been testing for so long that we wouldn’t be surprised to see it making its official debut in Frankfurt or the LA Show in November.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
