The seventh-generation Sentra sedan from Nissan was all-new for the 2013 model year, but the automaker saw fit to update its compact with more kit for the next model year.
The changes for the 2014 model year were announced today. Technical improvements include more soundproofing for the cabin, more responsive steering thanks to a quicker rack and retuned electric power steering, retuned springs, shocks and thicker stabilizing bars 22.0 mm front versus previous 18.0 mm, 24.6 mm rear versus previous 21.7 mm).

Ride comfort has also been improved, while Nissan's Xtronic CVT gearbox is now enhanced for feel and features an additional D-Mode with stepped changes programed. The Sentra continues to use a 1.8-liter 4-cylinder engine which delivers 34 mpg combined standard. The FE+ can even go as high as 40 mpg highway.

"Though totally revised just last year with a ‘class above' look and feel inside and out, at Nissan we continuously strive to make our great vehicles even better," said Fred Diaz, divisional vice president, Nissan Sales & Marketing, Service & Parts, Nissan North America, Inc. "With Sentra, we looked at every aspect of the vehicle – chassis, handling, quietness, fabrics and other critical customer touchpoints – and dialed things up to a higher level of refinement."

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
