Nissan has just posted a 12-second teaser clip on Youtube which indicates their tried and tested GT-R has been re-engineered for another Nurburgring lap record.
No sooner did we see it and images of a car emerged online. The GT-R Nismo is supposed to debut tomorrow, but already we have specs for it thanks to Car and Driver.
The big number we need to remember here is 595 hp (US standard, we think), because that's how much power the Nismo model has. Torque is is also up, to a figure that's somewhere north of 480 lf-ft. This increase in output comes after the 3.8-liter was allowed to breathe more freely. New exhaust and intakes were designed for the car, in combination with better turbos based on the GT3 race car.
The car was also fitted with 20-inch super-lightweight alloy wheels wrapped in Dunlop SP Sport Maxx GT 600 DSST tires.
