The mountain road around us makes no compromise whatsoever - violent elevation changes and no side barriers, but a landscape that would steal your heart anytime. A pretty good location for testing the 2014 Nissan 370Z Convertible then, or is it?
This open-top contemporary incarnation of the Fairlady Z is definitely a thing to enjoy, but don’t expect it to be a precise instrument. It does cope with the demanding road here and yet it’s hoping this will eventually end.

The 370Z Roadster is best used up to eight tenths. Doing so allows you to exploit the fairly sporty nature of the car. The engine has plenty of stuff to offer, despite an ultra-sharp throttle response not being on the menu. In fact, the brakes are the most capable part of the hardware used by the Japanese.

You will feel the difference between the Roadster and the Coupe though. We’ll get into the depths of this in our 2014 Nissan 370Z Roadster test drive.
