We've got the provisional starting grid for the 2014 season in the premiere class of the GP championship, and it has 24 slots.
The list follows after the jump and we've got some new names for 2014. One of them is Pol Espargaro, who replaces Cal Crutchlow in the Tech3 Yamaha team. It's going to be very interesting seeing Pol battling his older brother Aleix, the standing 2013 CRT/open class champion, who will be riding an NGM bike with an M1-leased Yamaha engine into an FTR frame.

Another new name is Scott Redding, stepping up from Moto2, and who will ride a Honda production racer for the Go&FUN Gresini team.

Avintia Blusens brought in Mike Di Meglio as a team mate for Hector Barbera, and the Frenchman will be riding an FTR-Kawasaki bike.

Two more names are yet to be announced, one for IodaRacing Project and one for Paul Bird Motorsport. While the latter team is confirmed to use an ART engine in their own chassis, the machine for the first team is still TBA.

With Ben Spies retired, Yonny Hernandez is now a full-time rider for Pramac Ducati. We'll be back as the final 204 MotoGP grid is complete.
