The reigning Moto2 World Champion Pol Espargaro, brother to the CRT/Open Class World Champion Aleix Esparagro is making his debut in the premiere class in 2014 and he's already dreaming of "tickling the ears of Valentino Rossi".
Pol Espargaro is now riding for Herve Poncharal's Tech3 Yamaha team and has filled in the slot left empty by Cal Crutchlow, who left for a Ducati factory seat.
The young Spaniard has been the only rider who could pose a real, constant threat to Marc Marquez in Moto2 two years ago, and some of the fellows in the paddock hope he will become the new Marquez for an absolutely hot 2014 season.
Young Espargaro, however, knows he's up against top-class pro riders and the game is so much different than Moto2. According to GP-Inside, he's well aware that his bike is not on par with Lorenzo's or the one his former and actual rival Marquez is riding.
The main objective is to get better acquainted with the bike and slowly work it up to the needed specs. Espargaro estimated that the half-season will be the moment when he will start making claims.
While the top three riders are really hard to get, young Espargaro say that "if he could tickle Valentino Rossi's ears, it would be a bomb." Tech3 and Pol Espargaro's season goal is to finish in top 5.
