Day 2 at Sepang is over, and Marc Marquez has been faster than the previous day, as expected. In fact he lapped under 2 minutes, with his team mate Dani Pedrosa following him 4 tenths behind.
However, the rest of the following 9 riders have been quite close to each other, and this gives us an idea on how the championship could develop.

LCR Honda's Bradl was only 3 thousandths of a second slower than Pedrosa, followed by Rossi, down 1 tenth and a surprising Aleix Espargaro in 5th, closing to 83 hundredths to the Doctor.

Lorenzo was 6th, 0.67s down from Marquez, and the top 10 was complete with Smith, Iannone, Bautista and Pol Espagaro.

The factory Ducati are still in the 11th -13th positions, but Nicky Hayden's team look like they found ways to make his Honda RCV1000R faster, so he was 14th today.

Not racing yesterday, GO&FYN Gresini's rookie Scott Redding was 21st today, while PBM's Broc Parkes finished the day in the 24th position.

So far, we've got a very fast M1-powered NGM Forward Racing Aleix Espargaro, Lorenzo's factory YZR-M1 still in need to be refined for the new 20-liter affair, one Rossi who is still just outside the podium, and one Ducati ridden by Iannone who seemingly leads the Borgo Panigale pilots, at the moment.

And something tells us Ducati will go Open Class...
