Mitsubishi Motors has revealed the first official photo and initial details about the new Attrage affordable sedan, which borrows its styling from the G4 concept shown earlier this year and its platform from the Mirage supermini that's coming to the US later this year.
Turning the Mirage into a sedan added another 295mm to the overall leant. But because the car was short to begin with, the Attrage is only 4,095mm or 159.5 inches long.
Power comes from the now familiar 1.2 litre 3A92 three-cylinder MIVEC unit, which offers 78 PS at 6,000 rpm and 100 Nm at 4,000 rpm. Transmission choices comprise of a CVT or five-speed manual serving as a standard unit. It's not yet clear if the Attrage will also be offed in the US, but if makes it acres the pond this could be the cheapest sedan on offer.
Editor's note: The Mitsubishi Attrage has a striking resemblance to the Mirage Sedan that was rendered by Theophilus Chin back in April.
