Starting today, November 20, the Tokyo Motor Show is open for press members and the first live photos of the 2014 MINI Cooper and Cooper S started pouring in.
Both models will be on display in Japan’s capital until December 1st so everyone will have the chance to go over there and personally check them out, as we think they deserve.
The new Cooper is using the BMW UKL platform and new engines from the B38 family with only 3 cylinders and 1.5-liters of displacement but a new 2-liter unit as well.
Power outputs range from 116 HP for the diesel to 136 for the Cooper version and 192 for the Cooper S that has a 4-pot under the bonnet. Performances have also been improved, whilst the price tags stayed almost the same.
The new cars will start deliveries in March 2014.
