Mercedes-Benz has announced the introduction of the 2014 Sprinter 4x4. Developed for “professionals rather than the boulevard”, the brand new addition to the Sprinter lineup promises to make life as easy as possible for the driver in the harshest condition in the depths of winter.
Equipped with all-wheel drive that can be engaged at the press of a button, 4ETS electronic traction, optional Downhill Speed Regulation, Hill-Start Assist, Low Range reduction gear, off-road tires and a raised suspension, the Sprinter 4x4 can be used in any terrain, including construction sites, mountains, snowy regions and natural landscapes.
Available in crewbus, panel van, crewcab and camper van versions, the 2014 Sprinter 4x4 shares powertrains with the regular Sprinter. This means there’s a choice of three engines: 2.1-liter four-cylinder with 129 HP and 163 HP and a 3.0-liter V6 with 190 HP. The all-wheel drive option will add an extra €8,391 to the regular Sprinter van.
