Mercedes-Benz USA has announced pricing information for its brand-new CLA45 AMG high-performance compact four-door sedan.
Priced from $48,375 including delivery, about $18,000 more than the base version of the regular CLA, the CLA45 AMG is powered by the most powerful production four-cylinder engine in the world: a turbocharged 2.0-liter delivers 355 HP and 332 lb-ft of torque.
Mounted to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission that sends power to all four wheels, the four-potter allows the sedan to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in only 4.5 seconds, while the top speed is electronically-limited to 155 mph. The vehicles power density is quite astounding at 178 HP per liter.
The new Mercedes-Benz CLA45 AMG can also be had with a carbon fiber interior trim for $950 or a panoramic sunroof for $1,480. Checking the “metallic paint” box on your order sheet will set you back another $720, while an upgraded infotainment system will cost a further $2,300.
