It's only been a few hours since the autoevolution team has laid eyes on the all-new 2014 Mazda3, but already the opinion is unanimous: it's gorgeous.
While the new 3 might not be as technologically advanced as a VW Golf, it's like comparing a brick and the Googenheim museum in terms of style. The side glass sweeps upwards, just like it does on the Mazda6, creating a coupe-ish style. The rear is also very elegant and the front is pure KODO.
The only major problem we see with the car itself is that it lacks the small diesel engine required for European market sales. After all, who would want to pay taxes for a 2.2-liter?
But today is the new Mazda3's big debut, so there's no room for negative thoughts. Instead, we'd like to focus on customization. We've found cleaner photos of the car scattered across the web and thought you guys might want to see how this new hatch looks in typical Mazda colors like metallic blue or the green on the '2'. Of course, we couldn't help it but to put our own touch on some of the photos, since you're unlikely to see a pink Mazda any time soon.
