British-based sportscar manufacturer Lotus has announced the introduction of the 2014 Elise S Cup R, a 924 kg (2,037 lbs) track-only racer that will be eligible to compete in next year’s Lotus Cup series.
Fitted with an aerodynamic body kit and several FIA compliant racing features, the 2014 Elise S Cup R rides on forged alloy wheels wrapped in Yokohama Advan tires and is powered by a supercharger 1.8-liter 2ZR-FE four-cylinder engine mated to a six-speed manual transmission.
Customers and track enthusiasts will be able to order the vehicle with a few options as well, including a FIA Fuel Cell, air conditioning, a racing passenger seat with four-point harness and ultra-lightweight Motorsport wheels.
The 2014 Lotus Elise S Cup R is scheduled to go on sale starting from £39,125 + VAT. More details on the race car are available in the press release below.
