Finally, a comparison between the 2014 Lexus IS 350 F Sport and another car in its class that doesn’t involve the insipid BMW 3 Series.
Autoguide wanted to pit the IS 350 against the Bimmer but there wasn’t one available in the area, so they had to put it in a head to head battle with the Cadillac ATS 2.0T.
Just looking at the specs we can tell that the Lexus is better equipped - its 3.5-liter V6 makes 306 hp/277 lb-ft compared to the 274/260 from the Cadillac’s 2-liter turbo, it has two more gears and it reaches 0 to 60 .2 of a second faster.
Pitting them over a lap on the track, the IS 350 did a 1:26.6 compared to the ATS’ 1:29.1, which kind of speaks for itself.
