We're still not sure whether a 700cc two-wheeler should be allowed to bear the name "scooter" but until such matters are cleared, here's the great news. The 2014 KYMCO MyRoad 700i is the largest-displacement maxi-scooter in the US market... and it looks fabulous!
This monster scooter packs a DOHC EFI parallel twin 699.9cc engine which should produce 59 HP @ 7250 rpm and a no-nonsense 49 lb-ft @ 5500 rpm (66.4 Nm). The beastly engine is tamed by means of twin 280cc discs in the front and a 240mm one in the rear, squeezed by radial 4-piston calipers.

Electronic damping suspensions are standard, and it looks like the Bosch ABS system is offered as standard. No shifting is needed as the 2014 KYMCO MyRoad 700i comes with an automatic transmission.

The underseat 50-liter storage (1.75 cubic feet) has a 12v outlet and is great for shopping. We're positive this machine will also receive a nifty line of accessories. The 2014 KYMCO MyRoad 700i weighs in at 608 lbs (275 kg) and comes with a 4 gallon tank (15.1 liters). The announced base price is $9,699 (€7,445). Via Dealernews.
