2014 KTM 1290 Super Duke R Official Action Video and McWilliams Extreme Riding

This official action video of the 2014 KTM Super Duke R is the final unlocked special of the Beast's dedicated website and by all means, it really makes this bike look even better.

I can hardly wait to see how will the Beast fare against the other big-bore baked machinery in 2014. So far it looks like this 180 hp v-twin is about the most savage and extreme roadster for the next year, but only side-by-side racing against the likes of the new BMW S1000R, Ducati Monster 1200, the new Aprilia Tuono and some other similar bikes will tell the true story.

The 1301cc engine is good for 106 ft-lbs (143.8 Nm) max torque, but Asphalt and Rubber reports that no less than 74 ft-lbs (100 Nm) are already available at a ridiculous 2500 rpm.

And this detail adds a whole tone of sense to the second video, with former motorcycle racer Jeremy McWilliams aboard the KTM Super Duke R at the Ascari circuit in Spain, and showing how the Beast must be ridden.

McWilliams was also a test rider and developer for the KTM Super Duke R so it's only natural that the other journalists present at the press launch did not stand a chance against him. Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy, and figure out a way to get €15,495 ($20,910) for the day the Duke comes out to play.
