The facelifted Kia Optima has been unveiled this week at the New York Auto Show. The exterior design comes with reworked front and rear fascia, LED positioning and fog lights at the front end while a sweeping trunk lid and a diffuser completes the rear end of the car. Inside you have a 4.3-inch instrument cluster and optional 8-inch navigation/telematics screen, Infinity 8-speaker sound system and Blind Spot Detection System.
The LX model is fitted with fog lights, dual chrome tips, heated mirrors, 16-inch wheels, solar glass and chrome-accented exterior door handles. The higher priced EX version adds illuminated front cup holders, leather seats, 17-inch wheels and eight-way adjustable driver’s seat. The SX model has aero wiper blades, bespoke front/rear lower bumper and side sills, while top of the range SX-T adds auto leveling HID headlights, Nappa leather seats, chromed side sills, 18-inch wheels and an electronic parking brake.
The first three models are powered by a 2.4-liter GDI engine and the SX-T has a bigger turbocharged 2.0-liter GDI under the hood, both engines being bolted to a 6-speed automatic transmission.
