With a starting price of just $17,400 in the US, there’s only one reason we don’t like the current Forte Koup, and that’s called the Hyundai Elantra Coupe, which uses a newer platform and is much more attractive.
But, the smaller half of the Korean duo has unveiled a new K3 sedan in Korea, one which will be available next year in the US as the 2014 Kia Forte. If you’re really superficial, you’ll love its masses of chrome and the LED accents for the headlights. We’re only semi superficial, so we’ll just say we love it.

The K3 will be a global model, Kia’s new best seller which will be known as the Cerato in some markets. The hatchback (GT) and coupe model are expected to follow within the next couple of year, but for now you can just kick back and enjoy these renderings of what the new Forte Koup will look like created by Theophilus Chin on the sedan’s body.

So tell us, would you pay about $18,000 or this car? We would!

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
