It's always nice to see that there are still some manufacturers who hold true to the real middleweight dual-purpose bike-making tradition. One of them is Kawasaki and we're very happy to introduce to you the 2014 KLR 650.
This bike is a classic and it looks like the 2014 model year retains all the great heritage of its predecessors, while bringing in updated technology and even more fun both on and off the road.

The 2014 Kawasaki KLR 650 brings in the classic 4-stroke thumper engine with a 651cc displacement and DOCH 4-valve architecture. Highway speeds are no problem for the 5-speed gearbox and dependable chain final drive, while the usable, rider-friendly power deployment is perfect for all sorts of riding on sealed roads and for wading rivers in the wild.

Kawasaki also promises good mileage for the 2014 KLR 650 and the huge 6.1 gal (23 liters) is awesome for long-distance touring. An oil sight window makes checking the oil level a breeze and adds to both convenience and safety.

We must also add the Uni-Trak rear suspension with 5-way pre-load adjustability and stepless rebound setup and the classic adventure-touring 21"-17" wheels. The 2014 Kawasaki KLR 650 weighs in at 432 lbs (195 kg) and comes with a baseplate for luggage and topcase. With a MSRP of $6,499 (€4,945), the 2014 Kawasaki KLR 650 is a real steal.
