Chrysler brand Jeep has announced the introduction of the refreshed 2014 Compass compact SUV on the British market. Now available in three trim levels, the 2014 Compass comes with exterior and interior updates, a new six-speed automatic and more standard safety features.
Fitted with either 2.0-liter (154 HP), 2.4-liter (168 HP) or 2.2-liter diesel (161 HP) engines, the 2014 Jeep Compass benefits from Chrysler’s lightweight and fully electronic 6F24 six-speed automatic transmission if a gasoline model is selected.
Exterior upgrades applied to the refreshed compact SUV include a revised front grille, black inner bezel for the halogen headlamps, new tail lamps, redesigned 18-inch aluminum wheels, and new Jeep badging for the tailgate. Inside, the 2014 Compass sports a new interior trim option, soft-touch materials for the armrests and the centre console lid, updated instrument cluster, and many more.
On the safety side, the vehicle gained front-seat-mounted airbags and ParkView rear backup camera as standard. Available with either front-wheel drive or 4x4 Freedom Drive, the 2014 Compass can be ordered in six exterior colors: Black, Bright White, Billet Silver, True Blue, Maximum Steel and Granite Chrystal (Limited only).
