The interwebs started to fret with rumors of Michael Dunlop possibly riding a BMW machine in the 2014 Isle of Man Tourist Trophy, despite his former declarations that 2014 could be a sideline year for him.
Michael, nephew to legendary rider Joey Dunlop, denied the rumors and claimed that the so-called news from Bennetts was simply rubbish and full of lies.
Bennetts claimed that Michael Dunlop was about to sign a deal with BMW and ride an S1000RR machine in the Superbike race, under the colors of his own MD Racing Team. An HP4 bike was allegedly to be used in the Superstock race.
There was no official reaction to BMW, and this may be because the Bavarian manufacturer has indeed some plans in this year's TT. But until official press releases surface, we're listing this in the Rumors section, as cool as seeing Michael Dunlop on an HP4 is.
