The Infiniti LE is an electric concept that the car manufacturer presented at the 2012 New York Motor Show. It’s a fully-electric saloon based on the Nissan Leaf, but with seriously modified DNA.
Infiniti revealed its desire to launch an electric family car since the 2010 Paris Motor Show and released a teaser image during the Frankfurt Motor Show. They want to take the electric family saloon into production within the next two years.
The car manufacturer didn’t unveil any mechanical hardware specifications, but it’s likely it will share numerous parts with the current Nissan Leaf. Infiniti insiders say that the LE will be faster, more powerful and sportier to drive than the Leaf.
Even if “under the bonnet” it will share components with the Leaf, in the interior the designers will give the car new lines and will be a more luxury version.
