A very well-kept secret, the 2014 Indian Chief was completely unknown save for a few Polaris and Indian fellows who developed it, so the revealing even in Sturgis was a true novelty.

The 2014 Indian machine comes in 3 flavors: the Chief Classic, the Chief Vintage and the Chieftain, each of them addressing three types of customers and being easy to customize thanks to the plethora of available accessories. The starting price for the three machines are $18,999 (€14,323), $20,999 (€15,830) and $22,999 (€17,338), respectively.

The Indian Chief Classic represents the basic large-displacement cruiser, with the iconic valanced fenders and the bare necessities, while the Chief Vintage also brings the retro leather saddlebags and other multiple leather accessories for those who love the classic old-school cruiser attire.

The Chieftain is a first for Indian as it boasts the first-ever bike with fixed fairing and integrated lights. Even more, it comes with a fork-mounted electrically-adjustable windshield and is literally loaded with modern technology, both mechanically and electronically.

We'll be bringing dedicated news on them complete with high resolution photos in the following days, for your viewing pleasure.

The introduction of the 2014 Indian Chief comes more or less at the same time with Harley-Davidson announcing they will stop delivering 6 of their models, a story on which a fierce debate started here.
